I always find it hard to do masculine cards, especially for my Dad. All the theme's seem to revolve around gardening, golf, darts or football, and since my Dad isn't really a fan of any of those it gets increasingly difficult. One of the thing's my Dad does enjoy however, is poker. So I decided to make this card using an image I found online.
To make this card I used:
5 copies of this playing cards image
White cardstock
Black cardstock
Dark Green cardstock
Black corner stickers
Gold letter stickers
Scissors
Paper Trimmer
Adhesive

Now that I had to main image sorted I was ready to make my card.

I added black corner stickers to all 4 corners to help give me an indication of where I wanted my main image to go. Next I adhered the first layer of my image (the one with all 5 playing cards) where I wanted it to go on my card. Then I adhered the second layer (the one with 4 playing cards) on top of that with normal adhesive (not foam adhesive) as I wanted it to feel as though the cards are laying on top of each other. I carried on doing this with all 5 layers, ending with just the A card on top.
Finally, I used some gold letter stickers to spell out the words "Happy Fathers Day".
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope this gives you some ideas about using images you can find on your computer to make great cards with.
